Photo editing for iPhone

Add a photography frame with camera settings

Finish a photo with a frame, shooting details, and a watermark in Retouchr. Give the image breathing room and share the camera settings that help tell its story.

Watch the workflow in the Retouchr app. Results depend on your photo and settings.

How to get started

  1. Start with the original photo

Use an original file when possible. Messaging and social apps may strip EXIF metadata, leaving fewer shooting details available.

  2. Choose a frame

Open the frame and watermark tools. Pick a layout that suits the photo and review the shooting details available for that file.

  3. Check the final composition

Keep the border text readable without overpowering the image. Verify camera details and check the exported image before sharing.

Ideas for your next edit

  • Travel: use a restrained frame to keep attention on the scene.
  • Photography notes: include available shooting details so you can discuss how the image was made.
  • Social sharing: inspect the whole framed image at a small size to check text readability and spacing.

Questions, access, and limitations

Why are camera settings missing?
The source file may not contain EXIF data, or another app may have removed it. Try importing the original from your photo library. A frame cannot recover metadata that is no longer in the file.
Is this an online EXIF frame generator?
This page explains the iPhone app’s frame workflow. Frame creation takes place in Retouchr; there is no browser upload or export tool on this page.
Are all frames and exports free?
Check the app for the current frame availability, export options, and any Pro requirements. This page does not promise that every template or export option is free.
